The following is an excerpt from Chapter 9, Krishna-The Absolute Truth

Vedanta Sutra, which is the summary of the four Vedas, hints at what the Absolute Truth is. It begins with the first verse: Janma-adi asya yatah: The Absolute Truth is that from whom everything emanates. It describes how things develop and how the universes are related to him. But the Shrimad Bhagavatam explains in detail the nature of that Absolute Truth. It is the commentary of the Vedanta Sutra written by the same author Vyasadeva himself.  It also begins with the first verse as:

Om namo bhagavate Vasudevaya namah,
janmadi asya yatah, anvayaadi itaratah cha
artheshu abhijnah svarat.......

Salutations to Lord Shri Krishna, who is the son of Vasudeva. He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is all pervading and the only reality behind the creation. This cosmic manifestation has been created, maintained and annihilated by Him alone. He is the primal cause of all causes; He is eternally effulgent and cognizant of everything directly and indirectly. (B.1-1-1).
